Accountant – Financial Planning & Reporting, 7 Month ContractLocation: Surrey, BC | Full-time | Hybrid (Remote to start, 2 days in office after mid-September)Our public sector client is seeking an experienced Accountant to support financial planning, reporting, and strategic analysis for a 7 month contract.This role involves a blend of budgeting, forecasting, capital project costing, and managing ad hoc financial projects.Key Responsibilities:
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across departments
Prepare and review financial reports, models, and business cases
Support compliance, internal controls, and year-end reporting
Assist in the development and maintenance of financial systems and processes
Collaborate with stakeholders on capital planning and grant-related initiatives
Supervise and mentor team members as needed
