Advanced Practice Provider

Overview

At Illinois CancerCare, our Advanced Practice Providers (eligible if trained as Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nurse Specialist, or Physician Assistant) play a vital role in providing expert oncology care and supporting patients and families throughout their cancer journey.

We currently have an opening at our Bloomington clinic. Each morning, the APP participates in hospital service at designated sites, completing inpatient rounds, communicating with attending providers, and performing bone marrow biopsies as ordered, followed by afternoons spent caring for patients in the outpatient clinic. 

This role includes interpreting laboratory and imaging results, prescribing therapies when appropriate, and managing symptoms and treatment‑related side effects using evidence‑based, compassionate interventions.
