Apprentice Learning Assistant

We are looking for an Apprentice Learning Assistant to join our team here at Purple Oaks Academy!

About the role

Working towards a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Standard, you will assist the class teacher to provide high quality teaching and learning support to pupils.

Main responsibilities (with support and under supervision)

• Supervising the activities of individuals or groups of pupils
• Assisting pupils with a variety of personal self-help skills
• Ensuring the health and safety of all pupils at all times
• Assisting pupils in the use of all classroom resources
• Preparing curriculum equipment and learning resources for the classroom

We are looking for someone with

• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to form good working relationships within a professional environment
• An understanding and awareness of the complex needs of the academy’s pupils
