We are currently looking for a Painting and Decorating Apprentice to join our award‑winning apprenticeship scheme. The starting rate is £8 per hour (£16,224 per annum) and, once qualified, the rate rises to £15.83 per hour (£32,103 per annum).

What’s the apprenticeship all about?

As an Apprentice at Ian Williams, you’ll learn on the job, gaining hands‑on experience while studying at college, and be supported by experienced tradespeople and a dedicated mentor.

What will you be doing?

• Work on projects such as social housing, schools and universities.
• Cover areas mainly across Greater Manchester with some work in Yorkshire and occasional travel further afield.
• Prepare surfaces (filling, sanding, caulking) and master paint application – rolling, cutting in, brush skills.
• Spruce up gloss work – doors, window frames, skirtings.
