About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-regarded business law firm in Toronto, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support a group of securities lawyers on a temporary 8‑12 week contract. The firm is known for providing practical, business-focused legal advice across corporate, securities, and transactional matters, including public and private financings, M&A transactions, and ongoing regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to up to three lawyers, ensuring timely execution of legal and business priorities.
- Manage daily docketing, time entry, billing, and client invoicing.
- Maintain and reconcile trust ledgers and assist with trust transactions and disbursement reporting.
