Become an essential part of Queen’s University as an Art Technician. This role involves studio upkeep, equipment management, and technical guidance for academic activities.
The Art Technician will be responsible for studio setup and maintenance, ensuring safe use of equipment and materials. You will manage inventory, support faculty and students with their usage questions, and conduct safety checks. Your expertise will contribute to a transformative learning environment in arts and culture.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and clean the studio for academic activities
• Demonstrate safe usage of materials and equipment
• Manage inventory, including distribution and reordering supplies
• Perform maintenance and repairs on studio equipment
• Conduct weekly safety checks and reporting
Requirements:
• Three-year Community College Diploma or Bachelor Degree
• 2-3 years of related experience in similar roles
• Strong interpersonal skills for user interactions
