Assistant Controller

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly analytical Assistant Controller to help lead our general and cost accounting functions and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting for the growing $450M+ Warfighter Systems division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping lead the day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and supporting a team of accountants. This role will report directly to the Warfighter Systems Controller in Roanoke, VA.
Key job responsibilities include:
* Lead local Finance Closing (month-end, quarterly, year-end) processes. Prepare and review journal entries as required. Support closing documentation and approvals. Own overall account reconciliation processes. Utilize BlackLine system for closing and reconciliation tracking.
