The American University of Paris invites applications for a full-time position in the Department of Art History and Fine Arts at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning 1 August 2026

The Position:

The candidate should be experienced with traditional and contemporary art techniques related to volume and design, and/or architecture methodologies. The candidate should be able to teach sculpture classes at all levels (beginning, intermediate and advanced), special topics classes, and capstone courses like the Junior and Senior Seminars. The candidate will have good knowledge of and the ability to teach the history of their discipline and demonstrate a deep knowledge of the materials, techniques and processes of their specialty (sculptures, objects or buildings).
