Laboratory and Field Technician – Materials Engineering Team

Work across Atlantic Canada driving forward initiatives to enhance WSP’s service offering. Conduct tests, analyses, and experiments to characterize materials used in construction for major clients, contributing to cutting‑edge technologies and novel material development.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Perform a range of field and laboratory tests on soil, concrete and hot mix asphalt to assess properties, composition and behavior.
• Operate and maintain testing equipment and instruments, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
• Support equipment calibration, maintenance and general housekeeping to maintain a safe working environment.
• Manage sample handling, shipping, logging, storage and disposal in accordance with safe material handling practices.
