Autism Support Assistant
Are you a hard‑working graduate looking to build experience supporting vulnerable or neurodiverse children? Are you friendly and creative? We are a specialist school in Trowbridge seeking a motivated graduate to join our team full‑time as an Autism Support Assistant.
In this role you will play a pivotal part in supporting pupils with a primary diagnosis of Autism, helping to create a nurturing and inclusive environment where every student can thrive. You will provide one‑to‑one and group support alongside teachers, therapists, psychologists and other specialist staff, and help deliver specialist interventions focused on emotional regulation and self‑expression.
The school uses creative methods—music, cooking, drama, dance and art—to engage students. Sensory learning and restorative practices are key to the curriculum, and you will help support these, rolling out therapeutic techniques commonly used in child psychology.
