Overview
We currently have vacancy for a Base Operative to support operations at our Heysham facility.
Responsibilities
- Loading and discharging trailers and containers
- Lifting operations
- Checking materials and maintaining yard and warehouse cleanliness
- Supporting the duty call out rota (1 week out of 3)
- Delivering good customer service and maintaining a commitment to health and safety; effective communication in a safety‑critical role
Qualifications and requirements
- Experience operating a forklift up to 12 tonne and working in a similar role
- OPITO approved Banksman/Slinger certificate is highly desirable, but not essential as training will be provided
- SAP and stock checking experience is desirable but not essential
