Catchment (SPS) Operator

Location: Barnstaple, UK

Hours: 37 per week with 1‑in‑5 week standby rota after training.

Salary: £27,523 - £36,011 per annum (competitive).

Responsibilities

As a Sewage Pumping Station Operator, you will carry out reactive and planned work to support day‑to‑day operation and maintenance of Sewage Pumping Stations.

• Carrying out on‑site monitoring of treated wastewater and associated plant to ensure effective site operation and compliance requirements.
• Responding effectively to site conditions and instrument monitoring information to maintain compliance and protect the environment.
• Storing and handling chemicals in accordance with COSHH, QMS procedures, and relevant health and safety standards.
• Carrying out first‑line maintenance on instruments and mechanical equipment.
