Job Description
- Oversee and manage purchasing operations across assigned product categories.
- Drive category performance by implementing strategies to increase profit margins, grow sales, and reduce out-of-stock items.
- Conduct regular reviews of product movement to identify slow-moving or non-performing items and develop strategies to improve performance or phase them out.
- Stay updated on market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor offerings, and propose new products relevant to each category.
- Support promotional planning and merchandising initiatives by recommending products and categories for campaigns, seasonal events, and tactical promotions.
- Collaborate closely with suppliers and internal departments to ensure effective planning, negotiation, and execution of purchasing activities, including trading terms.
