Class Teacher (Initially year 3)

Core Purpose

To provide a high quality and aspirational learning for all children.

General Duties and Responsibilities

• To carry out the duties of a school teacher as set out in the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions.
• To continue to meet, (as a minimum) the required Teachers’ Standards.

Knowledge and Understanding

• Have knowledge of and keep up to date with the New National Curriculum and the Warwickshire Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education.
• Understand how pupils’ learning is affected by their physical, intellectual, emotional and social development and to understand the stages of child development.
• Select and make good use of ICT skills for classroom and management support.
• Be familiar with the school’s current systems and structures as outlined in policy documents including the Health and Safety, Race Equality and Child Protection Policies.
