Job Description
The CMM Operator IV is a senior-level quality and inspection role responsible for programming, operating, and optimizing Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) equipment to ensure precision and compliance of aerospace-grade components.
This role serves as a technical expert, supporting production, mentoring junior operators, and driving quality improvements through advanced inspection techniques and data analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and program CMM equipment (e.g., PC-DMIS or similar software) to inspect complex components
- Interpret blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T (ASME Y14.5) requirements
- Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections on precision parts
- Analyze measurement data and generate detailed inspection reports for internal and external customers
