Job Description
Position Summary : The Compensation Advisor reports to the Associate Director Compensation and ensures the fair and equitable application of McGill’s Salary Administration Policies. The role reviews and analyzes a variety of compensation requests, conducts and partners in compensation surveys, and implements annual salary increases. It serves as a resource for compensation issues and formulates recommendations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Review and analyze requests for creation of new positions and rematches for various employee groups.
- Analyze compensation requests including special salary adjustments, hiring salaries, and non‑base payments.
- Conduct and participate in compensation surveys with other universities or organizations.
- Work closely with HR Advisors and Representatives on compensation issues and formulate recommendations.
