Education
Other trades certificate or diploma. Construction engineering technology/technician. Construction trades, other. or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs.
- Prepare pre‑qualification submissions to present clients.
- Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements.
- Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets and bid forms.
- Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
- Prepare cost estimates.
Skills & Technology
Computer and technology knowledge: Estimating packages, take‑off packages, spreadsheet, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint.
Experience
Type of experience:
- Commercial and/or industrial construction.
- Residential construction.
- Contractors.
