Construction Inspector - Engineering

Job Overview Reviews and monitors subdivision and site development and/or construction to ensure compliance with the plans, specifications and FBC standards. Represents the County Engineering Department at citizen and developer meetings and/or construction projects. May conduct inspection and administration of County Mobility and Capital Improvement Projects. Reviews independent testing laboratory results. Assists the engineers with shop drawings and submittal reviews for Construction projects. Cross-train with development and permitting personnel depending on office workload. Responsibilities Is familiar with County and municipal subdivision regulations and applies knowledge to plat and site plan review. Reviews the implementation of laws, rules and policies in the various County regulations regarding subdivisions, site plans, easements, road names, addresses and signs.
