Job Description

The Position

The Controller plays a key leadership role in managing the financial operations of the shíshálh Nation Government. Reporting to the CFO, the Controller is responsible for overseeing accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, audit preparation, and compliance with Nation policies and funding agreements. This position ensures the integrity and accuracy of financial information to support informed decision-making by leadership and Council. Note: this is an in-office position.

 

The Candidate:

  • Lead and oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
