Gateway to India Restaurant located in the heart of Downtown Nanaimo, BC is looking for 1 cook supervisor with 2 to less than 3 years of experience. The role requires English language proficiency.

• Requisition food and kitchen supplies.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food.
• Estimate ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation.
• Address customers’ complaints or concerns.
• Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
• Manage kitchen operations and inspect kitchens and food service areas.
• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
• Supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
• Plan menus and estimate food requirements for realization.
