Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Analyzes records of financial transactions to determine accuracy and completeness of entries.
- Prepares journal entries, reconciles inventory balance sheet accounts, prepares LIFO inventory valuations for year-end audits.
- Analyzes cost accounting practices, processes, and data, makes recommendations for improvement.
- Provides input for and audits the accuracy of cost master data.
- Maintains and improves cost models and schedules.
- Analyzes manufacturing variances, determines business drivers, creates P&L commentary for actual variances.
- Coordinates cost accounting matters with other departments, locations, and divisions.
- Works independently and in cooperation with others to identify and drive implementation of process improvements for areas of responsibility.
