Cost Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Prepare budget 1 for new projects including special projects based on Design's conceptual/schematic plan for management approval
  (EDD Prelims, Building Construction & EDD Fit-Outs)
• Accept and review budget proposals in terms of scope, specifications, scope of project and cost submitted by other groups
• Liaise with Suppliers/Contractors for specific materials/items based on the estimated listed items on the budget
• Ensure 'budget 2' created by CM's is within approved 'budget 1'; If not, ensures cost variations are justifiable and propose options for value engineering (with the other groups)

JOB REQUIREMENT

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Professional license relevant to the field.
• 1–3 years of experience in estimating, costing, bidding, and quantity surveying related to electrical and auxiliary works.
