Customer Service Adviser
Permanent Post
37 hours per week – covering the Customer Service team opening hours 08:45 – 17:15 (Monday to Thursday) and 08:45 – 16:45 Friday.
Grade G – £26,824 to £28,598 per annum
Main responsibilities
The role involves resolving complex queries at first point of contact, either by telephone or face‑to‑face. Enquiries are predominantly on Benefit, Council Tax and Refuse & Recycling, but the adviser will handle requests from all departments.
Full training is provided. Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred, but a strong desire to help people is essential.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and computer literacy, are required.
