Data Engineer – Distributed Systems
Duration: 3 months initially (strong extension potential)
Day Rate: £250 (B2B Contractor - Approx. $340)
Location: Remote (UK / EU Time Zones Preferred)
We’re seeking an experienced Data Engineer to help build and scale a distributed event processing system handling - 1 billion events per day within a fast-growing advertising analytics company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and optimise distributed data processing systems
- Build high-throughput event pipelines in Go and/or Python
- Work within a large Data Build Tools instance transforming data in a warehouse
- Improve system performance and scalability
- Collaborate closely with the Technical Lead and small engineering team
- Contribute to architectural decisions for a new distributed system
