First Student is seeking a reliable and organized Dispatcher to join our Toronto West, ON team. The Dispatcher plays a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and timely transportation services by coordinating driver assignments, managing route changes, and responding to operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate daily driver assignments and route coverage.Monitor radio and GPS systems to track vehicle locations and respond to incidents.Communicate effectively with drivers, maintenance staff, and management.Handle last-minute changes, absences, and emergencies with professionalism.Maintain accurate records of routes, incidents, and driver attendance.Support driver check-in/check-out procedures and ensure compliance with schedules.Assist with customer inquiries and service requests.Collaborate with the Location Manager to improve operational efficiency.
