Electrical EIT – Field Engineer

Overview

Join a high-impact engineering team delivering one of British Columbia's most significant transit infrastructure projects. As an Electrical Engineering-in-Training (EIT) – Field Engineer, you will contribute to the Surrey Langley SkyTrain (SLS) project by supporting the installation and delivery of advanced rail electrification systems, including traction power and Linear Induction Motor (LIM) technologies. Working within a multidisciplinary engineering and construction environment, you will gain valuable, hands‑on experience across the full project lifecycle while helping shape innovative and sustainable transportation solutions.

Your Role

• Support field inspection and verification of LIM and traction power rail systems to ensure compliance with engineering standards and design specifications
• Monitor contractor installation activities and assist in resolving field issues, RFIs, and non-conformances (NCRs)
