As an Intermediate Firmware Engineer at DRS Pivotal Power, you will report to the Engineering Manager, driving the development of firmware for switch-mode power equipment. Collaborate closely with hardware designers to define firmware requirements, and engage in a 9/80 work schedule promoting work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design control algorithms for power converters from 100W to 100kW
• Collaborate with hardware teams on firmware requirements
• Apply CAN, SPI, USB communication protocols
• Code in C/C++ and generate code using MATLAB
• Debug and validate firmware functionality for products
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering
• Minimum four (4) years in code development
• P. Eng. designation or eligible for registration
