Job Description
Join the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection as an Engineer Associate focusing on Abandoned Mine Lands. Use your engineering skills to oversee design and management in a variety of environmental projects.
In this full-time permanent role, you will support the Division of Land Restoration under the Charleston Design Administrator. Key duties include selecting qualified contractors, monitoring design development, and ensuring alignment with reclamation standards. You will interact with various stakeholders and adapt engineering concepts to meet project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Carry out Division of Purchasing duties for engineering projects
• Monitor contractors’ design plans and technical specifications
• Analyze design concepts for feasibility and compliance
