Develop and implement configuration management strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of configuration items within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
Structure, administer, and maintain the CMDB, ensuring data quality through consistent data entry, updates, and cleansing activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and document configuration management requirements.
Identify IT assets and configuration items (CIs), and establish their relationships and dependencies within the CMDB.
Conduct training sessions for employees on ITSM processes and the proper use of the CMDB to uphold service quality standards.
Proactively identify and implement improvements to enhance the effectiveness of ITSM processes and the CMDB.
