Job Description
Under the supervision of the chief estimator, the estimator will have to determine the quantities of material needed to complete a project.
More specifically, the estimator will be required to:
- Correctly interpret the technical specifications of tender documents;
- Record the quantities of reinforcing steel, wire mesh, and any other products related to the feasibility of the project;
- Follow the guidelines provided by the client (price type, scope of work, bidding formula);
- Obtain the necessary information from contractors to estimate the project and follow up on it (email/phone);
- Coordinate the paper and electronic documents (plans, estimates, addenda, bid documents) that he has received and that are also on the server;
- Inform the chief bid bond estimator when required;
- Take stock of the quantities of special products at the start of the project (Studrails, V-Rod, Post-Tension, stainless steel...
