Field Service Technician

This position is responsible for assignments repairing a wide variety of transformers and switchgear at our facility in Commerce City, CO or at a customer site.

· Experienced to follow safety guidelines for task in factory and in field

· Complete the work order instructions as assigned and on time, document parts and labor time.

· Analytical skills to complete electrical equipment inspections (internal and external) and document defects.

· Ability to re-gasket, change bushings & tap changers on transformers with minimal supervision.

· Ability to use pumps to drain or fill transformers with insulating oils

· Basic understanding of electrical equipment. Having previous experience in working on transformers is a huge plus.

· Ability to make repairs or check connections inside a transformer. Climbing on top of it or entering it’s tank.

· Ability to learn basic electrical testing like turns ratio and Insulation resistance.
