Our client is seeking an experienced Accountant to join the Port Elizabeth team,
- Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting schedules
- Maintain general ledger and process journal entries
- Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations
- Prepare financial statements in line with IFRS for SMEs
- Prepare and submit VAT201, EMP201, EMP501, and other statutory returns
- Assist with provisional and income tax calculations
- Ensure compliance with SARS requirements and deadlines
- Liaise with auditors and respond to audit queries
- Assist with annual budgets and forecasts
- Perform variance analysis and reporting
- Support management with financial insights and cost control
- Maintain proper accounting records and documentation
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures
