FireSmart Coordinator

The City of Terrace is in search of a highly skilled and organized individual to be the FireSmart Coordinator. The FireSmart Coordinator supports wildfire preparedness, prevention, and mitigation through public education, assessments, and mitigative work to reduce community risk from wildfires. This is a grant-funded, temporary position with the potential for extension, subject to the approval of continued grant funding.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

1. Act as the main point of contact for the City of Terrace FireSmart Program.
2. Coordinate public education work being completed through the Community Resiliency Investment (CRI).
3. Organize/participate in Wildfire Community Preparedness Day, emergency preparedness fairs, community meals, farmer's markets, local sporting events, school presentations, and trade shows to distribute FireSmart information.
