Job Description
Primary Responsibilities & Duties
- Perform software development, enhancements, and bug fixes for Racing Victoria applications, resulting from user raised incidents, BAU and assigned project tasks.
- Maintain and improve overall quality of the code base. Adhere to high standards of development practices and continuous improvement.
- Perform hands‑on solution design, solution architectures, prototyping / proof‑of‑concepts as required in support of RV product and digital transformation initiatives.
Personal Skills & Qualities
- Extensive knowledge of software development best practices and design patterns.
- Programming languages / frameworks / tools:
- React and Gatsby frontend Framework
- Node.js, JavaScript, GraphQL API
- Unit testing framework, e.g., Jest
- AWS native services (including Lambda, API Gateway)
- API development and microservice architecture
