Enhance the lives of residents as a full-time Recreation Aide with Extendicare. Support meaningful program development and foster connections within the community.
As a Recreation Aide, you will work closely with the Recreation Manager to plan and implement engaging activities for residents. Your role is vital for maintaining connections with residents, their families, and volunteers while upholding Extendicare’s values. You'll also participate in ongoing education to stay current in elderly care practices and contribute to team efforts in tailoring programs to residents’ interests.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in planning and organizing resident programs
• Maintain department records and assess participation
• Communicate effectively with residents and staff
• Facilitate outings and evaluate daily activities
