Ice Rink Manager Responsibilities
Facility Operations
+ Oversee daily operation of the ice rink and surrounding facilities
+ Schedule public skating, hockey, figure skating, lessons, rentals, and special events
+ Ensure ice quality through resurfacing and maintenance coordination
+ Monitor refrigeration, HVAC, lighting, and facility systems
+ Coordinate opening and closing procedures
+ Maintain cleanliness and overall appearance of the facility
Ice Maintenance & Safety
+ Supervise ice resurfacing operations using equipment such as a Zamboni
+ Monitor ice thickness and temperature
+ Ensure compliance with safety regulations and risk-management policies
+ Conduct routine safety inspections of boards, glass, locker rooms, bleachers, and exits
