Your Role at St John of God Geraldton Hospital
As Head Chef, you will be responsible for the preparation and cooking of foods required for patients and caregivers and provide leadership to the catering team whilst maintaining high levels of food quality and service, consistent with SJGHC standards, Mission, Vision and Values and in accordance with the Australian Dietary Guidelines.
A Chef Trade Certificate or Cert III in Commercial Cookery will be essential for this role.
The Position
Preparation, cooking, serving and delivery of food as directed by the requirements of the daily menus and production schedule.
Implement, document and monitor the Food Safety Program and comply with the HACCAP principals as well as the completion of relevant paperwork.
Manage all catering supplies including ordering and monitor to ensure adequate supplies available according to the menu and budget.
