Job Description
The Head Chef will lead all kitchen operations for a fine-dining startup restaurant, ensuring high-quality cuisine, consistency, and efficient kitchen management. This role is hands-on and ideal for a chef who can balance culinary excellence with practical operations in a small but growing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and execute a fine-dining menu aligned with the restaurant's concept and budget
- Prepare, cook, and plate dishes to high presentation and quality standards
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff; train team members on techniques and standards
- Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation
- Manage food costs, inventory, supplier ordering, and waste control
- Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation in compliance with DOH and local regulations
