Job Description
- Stitch, sew, alter, and repair garments based on client instructions or design requirements.
- Operate and maintain sewing machines and other tailoring tools.
- Take accurate measurements and perform fittings to ensure garments fit perfectly.
- Handle various fabrics, including delicate or specialty materials, with care.
- Cut, hem, and finish fabrics to create or modify garments.
- Replace zippers, buttons, and other garment accessories as needed.
- Iron and press finished garments to ensure a polished look.
- Ensure all work is completed within deadlines and meets quality standards.
- Keep the workspace clean, organized, and safe.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of sewing supplies, such as thread, needles, and fabric.
Proven experience as a sewer, tailor, or seamstress in a similar setting.
