Job Description

Our client is a well-established and growing logistics business looking to recruit an Import Operations Trainee to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a school or college leaver looking to begin a long-term career within the shipping and logistics industry. Full training will be provided, so no previous experience is required.
The Role
As an Import Operations Trainee, you will receive training and support in:
Using industry-specific operating systems and assisting with shipment bookings
Learning the fundamentals of shipping, freight forwarding and logistics
Communicating with customers and overseas agents
Preparing customer quotations
Arranging deliveries through internal transport networks and third-party providers
Supporting the operations team with administrative duties
Developing customer service and commercial awareness skills
