Job Description
Overview
The position is primarily responsible for planning and preparing production schedules, ensuring that products are made efficiently and timely to meet shipment requirements and production forecasts. The Production Planner checks for planning errors, recommends corrective action, and develops new programs to improve the production control systems.
Material and Inventory Management
Manages inventory of raw materials and finished products. Determines requirements for the supply of raw materials and ensures proper planning for the raw material mix to maximize production output and minimize work‑in‑process inventory. Properly allocates work‑in‑process into different product lines to serve commitments and build inventories for sales forecasts.
Product and Process Information
