Job Description
Intimate Partner Violence Worker - Response Team Location:
Saskatoon
Responsible for providing risk assessments and targeted interventions to individuals and couples affected by intimate partner violence, working in partnership with the Saskatoon Police Service and community service providers.
Conduct risk assessments to determine individualized interventions.
Provide safety planning, crisis counseling, crisis management, and outreach services.
Process referrals for high-risk situations and accompany police officers to community locations, including home visits.
Assess relationship dynamics, identify concurrent risks, and evaluate potential for unsafe environments.
Mitigate or decrease risk by providing individualized supports and making referrals as appropriate.
Advocate and liaison on behalf of clients.
Qualifications
Degree in Social Work (BSW/BISW).
