Junior Electrical Estimator

Job Description

Junior Electrical Estimator is responsible for preparing and presenting accurate estimates for all potential projects, based on client submissions and project plans. This critical role ensures that projects are financially viable and competitive in the marketplace.

Responsibilities

• Produce and assist with quantity takeoffs and preparation of electrical estimates for all costs for tender submission – material, labour, equipment, and subcontractor(s) using estimating software to develop accurate quotation.
• Build relationships and communicate with vendors for the procurement of project materials.
• Travel to sites to conduct takeoffs necessary to complete estimates where plans are not available.
• Maintain a live pipeline report and weekly estimating updates.
• Review drawings, specifications, and addenda to identify project scope.
• Request, review, and compare supplier and subcontractor pricing.
