Lab Technician

Intertek is searching for a Lab Technician to join our Building & Construction team in our Mississauga, ON office. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in Product Testing and Regulatory Compliance.

Responsibilities

• Receives, examines and records inbound samples for testing through a login process.
• Delivers test samples to the sample staging area.
• Monitors the availability of supplies needed for testing processes and reports any needs to the Laboratory Manager/Supervisor.
• Conducts testing on a wide range of products and materials used in construction of residential and commercial buildings such as insulation, windows, doors, wall/flooring assemblies, guardrails, roofing, glass panels, etc.
• Performs material and structural testing such as tensile, compression, flexural, dynamic wind, static air pressure, impact energy, thermal conductivity, water vapor transmission, ...
