Interior Seating Lead Engineer – Automotive
Contract | Office-Based | Competitive Day Rate
An experienced Interior Seating Lead Engineer is required to support a premium automotive programme, delivering seating system design and release from concept through to production.
This role sits within Body Engineering / Interior Systems and requires strong ownership of automotive seating systems, including design, development, validation and engineering release.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead design and development of automotive seating systems and sub-systems
* Full Design & Release (D&R) responsibility from concept to sign-off (DV completion)
* Manage CAD design (CATIA V5 / V6 / 3DX)
* Deliver to cost, weight, quality and timing targets
* Coordinate suppliers and cross-functional teams
* Support APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, Control Plans
* Lead problem-solving using 8D and 5 Why methodologies
