Learning Support Worker

Overview

The Learning Support Worker supports learners with learning disabilities, mental health needs and/or challenging behaviour in South Petherton as part of able2achieve's Somerset and Devon services. The role helps learners feel safe, make informed choices, access opportunities and develop meaningful, rewarding lifestyles.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and updating care plans and risk assessments
• Following safeguarding procedures and reporting concerns
• Supporting person‑centred learning
• Helping learners access the community
• Maintaining accurate records
• Liaising with families and professionals
• Contributing to support plans and tutorials
• Working collaboratively with colleagues
