Responsibilities

• The Library Service Associate (LSA) is responsible for the daily provision of library services for Saskatoon Public Library (SPL) at the assigned branch location.
• The majority of the work of the LSA involves actively assisting patrons within the library. The LSA may also work outside the branch at events in the community.
• This position involves regular interactions with people who attend the library for research, to attend programs, and to access library services and collections.
• The LSA also assists library patrons experiencing physical and mental barriers, as well as marginalization and/or social exclusion.
• The LSA works cooperatively with colleagues at the library to ensure that the daily operational needs are met.
