Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints and engineered drawings
- Setup, program, and operation of HBMs or VMMs
- Run variety of machines including lathes and mills when required
- Understand tool limitations and controls during operation
- Operate machines within tight tolerances and have a good knowledge of feeds and speeds
- Measure precisely utilizing mics, calipers, bore gauges and hold tight tolerances
- Operate travelling overhead crane up to 20 tonnes and know rigging requirements
- Inspect work according to ISO and Quality Assurance standards
- Capable of working unsupervised on own machine
- Troubleshoot within area and on machines
- Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment
- Assure compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures
