Maintenance Engineer
Location: Commutable from Flint, Deeside, Holywell, Chester, South Wirral
Type: Contract
Duration: Few months, until about October
Hours: 8am-4pm, with occasional cover needed for 2-10pm shift
Salary: £20-30 per hour, PAYE + Holidays
Required Experience and Skills
- Apprentice trained in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, ideally HNC level.
- Strong manufacturing background in reactive and PPM work.
- Solid all‑round mechanical engineering experience covering bearings, shafts, rollers, pneumatics, and other production machinery.
- Some electrical fault‑finding skills.
- Familiarity with Check Weighers, Flow Wrappers, metal detectors, conveyors, and cutting machinery.
- Responsible for maintaining engineering stores and parts and for continual improvement of the PM system.
