Assistant Maintenance Supervisor
Background
The Maintenance Technician will exhibit a high standard of safety behaviors while carrying out Engine Room maintenance and Engine Room system operation.
They may be expected to perform maintenance, preservation, welding, machining, pipe and mechanical fitting and related activities.
Depending on its qualifications, they act as Junior Watchkeeper.
Authority
The Maintenance Operator acts under the Authority of the Assistant Maintenance Supervisor and/or Engine Room Supervisor as appropriate.
Immediate Subordinates
Fitters designated as part of team, visitors, vendor technicians, and sub-contractors
Accountable For: Responsibilities & Standards
1) Operate Engine Room Equipment and Systems and Utilities Operation
1 Prepare marine Engine Room or Aft Machinery Space and Utility Systems for start-up.
2 Start and monitor marine Engine Room or Aft Machinery Space and Utility Systems.
